COMMUNICATION
Communication is a part of CNS technology that we are specialized in.
Our COM solutions enable the communication between pilots and controllers, as well as internal apron and operation communication.
VOICE RECORDING
In case of an aviation incident it is vital to hear the exchange between the involved parties for a better understanding.
Our voice recording solutions provide seamless recordings that can be looked into in the unfortunate case after an incident.
VOICE OPERATION
Not only the voice communication system is important, but also its operability by the controller. We create the interface in the tower for fast and intuitive workflow with COM systems.
NAVIGATION
While air traffic was formerly limited to day and good weather, air traffic nowadays has to be reliable 24/7 even under the worst weather conditions without compromise in safety.
We plan, certify and maintain ILS Systems for safe navigation to and from airports.
ILS
DME
Instrument landing systems are highly precise approach guides consisting of several redundant units that enable approaches and landings under close to zero visibility.
Distance measurement equipment is used to measure the distance between an aircraft and the system and is therefore used for instrument approaches as a supplement to the markers in the ILS or in connection with a VOR/NDB for an independent non-precision approach.
NDB
VDF
Instrument landing systems are highly precise approach guides consisting of several redundant units that enable approaches and landings under close to zero visibility.
Very high frequency Direction Finders are used to determine the position of aircraft in relation to the transmitter. In practical use, as soon as an aircraft calls the ground station, air traffic controllers see the bearing as a dash on the radar screen, allowing air traffic controllers to quickly get a picture of where the aircraft is located.
SURVEILLANCE
Surveillance is also a part of CNS technology.
We create solutions for processing and displaying radar data as well as create our own surveillance systems.
Apron surveillance
Outside view substitution for RTC
An example for such use case is the surveillance of secured aprons on airfields. Cameras are installed as to survey security-relevant areas to prevent trespassing of unauthorised goods and persons.
The concept of a remote tower requires the transmission of vital information to the air traffic controllers sitting in the remote tower centre.
Especially the virtual view out the window has to be represented with great accuracy. We integrate the camera systems into the RTC system and ensure proper function through maintenance.
